The main driver for the project’s aggressive timeframe is that all equipment needed to be replaced by the company’s financial year end to comply with processing restrictions. These restrictions mean that the new POS system must be operational in order to complete the End of Financial Year tills processing as it cannot span two systems. Initially, the fashion retailer adopted an in-house approach to the rollout with their own support staff travelling all over Europe to install the solution and train local staff in its operation. But they quickly found that this was a costly approach in terms of both expense and their technical team’s time.
