Future-proofing through core network redesign

21st February 2018 | In Networking

Aware of the fast-moving technical landscape, a prominent global airline needed a company they could trust for reliable advice on a core network redesign and upgrade in order to bring their system and equipment up to date and effectively prepare them for future technological changes.

The client needed a company to work in partnership with their incumbent systems integrator, combining strengths to deliver the best outcome.

A workshop run by our senior engineers provided the opportunity to offer our expert advice, in an accessible way, to the client. We took time to explain our view of the current and future technical landscape and the products we felt would both align the client’s infrastructure with this landscape and fit the bespoke requirements of the organisation.

Subsequently, we formed an effective strategic alliance with the company’s existing systems integrator who delivered the ensuing network installation which Hardware.com supplied.

The result was a successful dual data centre core upgrade involving the largest Juniper QFabric installation in Europe. In real terms, this meant superior data centre performance, improvements in speed and efficiency and unrivalled scalability which inevitably led to reduced operating costs and enhanced business agility for the customer.
