A managed data service provider achieved optimum network performance across the globe thanks to a full data centre refresh which increased capacity, reliability and speed in multiple premises worldwide.
When an international managed data service provider wanted to refresh their entire data centre infrastructure, they looked for a company that had the capability, skillset and experience of delivering large-scale, multi-vendor deployments. With over 30 points of presence across the globe, a solutions provider was required that could work on an international scale.
Hardware.com’s system architects worked with the customer to design a new data centre infrastructure that was fully aligned to the customer’s technological and budgetary requirements. The chosen solution was one that utilised best-of-breed technology from multiple vendors and which would replace their incumbent vendor platform.
To eliminate implementation issues, the proposed solution was setup and configured in our dedicated pre-staging centre, allowing for proof-of-concept, interoperability testing and ratification of the final design. The pre-staging environment was utilised to run failure scenarios and stress testing under varying load levels created from our traffic generator. The customer was provided with 24/7 remote access to the test environment so they could monitor how the system was performing and familiarise themselves before going live.
