High Density Cooling Solutions from USystems
In conjunction with Eaton Williams, a leading global cooling specialist in high tech applications, USystems have developed a range of cooling solutions to meet the ever increasing heat demands placed upon data centres and offices in general.
Problem: Heat Issues with Data Centres - Modular Range of Solutions
Conventional cabinet design allows heat from the equipment to pass straight back into the room.

ColdLogik CL20 - Fully Vented Front |
|
 |
ColdLogik CL20 - Rear Door Heat Exchanger |
- Rising heat densities
- Limitations per tile of 2-3kw's
- Shortened life expectancy for equipment
|
- Equipment failure - cost of replacement and loss of revenue
- Rising energy costs
|
Solution 1: The ColdLogik™ CL20 Rear Door Heat Exchanger
Hot air produced by the equipment is pulled across a coil housed within the rear door, during the process the temperature of the air is reduced back down to the ambient room temperature. Because the coil covers the whole of the rear door the pull is even and therefore "hot spots" don't occur. Furthermore balance is maintained within the room thus eliminating hot zones.
- High density racks can be implemented without upgrading
- Lower energy use
- Cheaper to run than conventional AC
- Eradicate 'hot spots' with precision cooling
- Full rack space available
- Zero thermal impact
|
- A/C can be planned with no more real estate requirements
- Modular - expand the system as you go
- Space - water can absorb 3,500 times more heat than air
- Built in redundancy
- Remote monitoring available

Solution 2: The ColdLogik™ CL50 Cooling Distribution Unit
 |
The CL150 CDU will supply up to six rear door heat exchangers with clean, cooled water at a constant flow rate within a sealed and pressurised circuit. Supply water can be set to a fixed temperature or to 'dew point tracking' to maximise available cooling without fear of condensation at the rack.
